System Validation

System validation allows you to test a system to see if it meets the minimum requirements for running Remote Deposit.

System validation consists of a standalone executable file you can run from anywhere as long as it runs locally on the machine you want to test.

To Perform a System Validation:

1. Click the System Test hyperlink above. The system displays the following screen which allows you to Run or Save the file.

 




2.  Click the Run button. The system displays the following warning message:




3.  Click the Run button. The system will run the system validation.


Once all of the systems have been tested, the system displays the results in a table. If any of the individual tests do not meet the system requirements, the background color of the line item will change to yellow (in case of a warning) or red (in case of a failure). For each warning or failure, the system posts a description in the Test Results section to give you more detail on the error. The degree of severity of each warning varies from test to test. If the system finds any warnings, a summary message will warn you that you can proceed but you may encounter problems. If the system finds any failures, you will see a message that indicates you should not continue with installation on that computer.
 




4.  Click the Close button when the system has completed the test. The system removes the installed files from the computer.
